How to Revive Wilting Flowers
Many limp flowers, especially roses and hydrangeas, recover after a fresh cut and a deep drink in a cool room. If petals are translucent or dropping, the flower is finished.
- Recut the stem under water if you can.
- Place in a clean vase filled well up the stem.
- Move to a cool room for a few hours.
- For hydrangeas, professional florists sometimes dunk the head briefly; do this gently and only if the stem can still take up water.
Tulips that flop are often still alive — they may need a taller vase rather than a revival trick.
